Meadowbank Sports Centre
Edinburgh’s bonfire night celebrations take place each year at the Meadowbank Stadium. This year head down on the evening of November 5th to join in with the outdoor festivities. Oddly enough the organisers of the event have done away with the traditional bonfire and guy and instead concentrate on the fireworks display but we can tell you that it is certainly worth it!
The light display will include the biggest rockets available shooting high above the city skyline to the sound of specially selected music. Both sporting events and a bagpipe performance take place throughout the evening, meaning that the entertainment goes on all night and that the tickets are worth every penny and more.
You can even pre book to ensure that you get a seat in the covered area of the stadium where you will be free to enjoy the entertainment without having to brave the elements. However, there are also tickets for those who prefer to stay traditional and stand out in the rain and wind!
Doors open at 6.30pm with the main event kicking off at 7.30pm
Admission Prices:
£4.50 per ticket, plus a £2 telephone booking fee - 0131 661 5351

"Daughters just returned from the event and said that the fireworks were fantastic but it was 'thank you and goodnight' afterwards- no games and bagpipes into the evening as the blurb states. They didn't seem disappointed in any way, all the same."
